Privacy Policy — Funity Games

This privacy policy applies to the mobile games of Funity UG (haftungsbeschränkt) (“we”, “us”), especially Chika Sudoku (io.funity.chikasudoku) and other Funity Games titles. The agency website funity.io has a separate policy.

2. Overview: What data do we process?
Our games work offline and without a Funity user account. We do not collect names, email addresses, or passwords from you. We mainly process:
- local game data on your device (progress, settings)
- advertising and technical data via Google AdMob (where ads are active and you have consented or processing is otherwise lawful)
- purchase-related data for in-app purchases via the respective app store provider (Google Play)
3. Local storage on the device
Save progress, streak, unlocked levels, language setting, onboarding status, and optional purchases (e.g. ad-free mode) are stored locally on your device (including via AsyncStorage / device storage).
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract / providing app features) and/or (f) (legitimate interest in a functioning game).
This data does not leave your device via our own servers — we do not operate a central account or cloud save server.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
Unless you have unlocked ad-free mode, we show ads via Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC), including:
- Rewarded video (e.g. for optional rewards)
- Interstitial / full-screen ads between levels
This may involve device identifiers (e.g. Advertising ID), IP address, approximate location, device and app information, and ad interaction data. Exact processing depends on your consent and your device/Google account settings.
Where required, we obtain your consent for personalized ads or access to device information via the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent form.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TTDSG (consent) where required; otherwise legitimate interest in funding the app (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) where permitted by law.
Transfers to third countries (especially the USA) may occur. Google relies among other things on EU Standard Contractual Clauses. More information:
You can also limit personalized ads in your device/Google settings and purchase ad-free mode in the app where offered.
5. In-app purchases (Google Play)
Optional purchases (e.g. remove ads) are processed via Google Play Billing. Google handles payments; we typically only learn that a purchase succeeded or was restored — not full payment details (credit card, etc.).
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract performance).
Google Play’s terms and privacy notices apply in addition.
6. No login / no own server accounts
Our games do not require a Funity user account. There is no registration with us. Social login is not part of the apps.
7. Children and teens
The apps target users from about age 12 (content rating / audience per app and ad settings). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 for profiling. Parents or guardians can contact us using the details above.
8. Retention
Local game data stays on your device until you uninstall the app, clear app data, or reset features in the app. Ad and purchase data at Google are subject to those providers’ retention periods.
9. Your rights (GDPR)
Where applicable, you have the right to:

To exercise your rights, contact datenschutz@funity.de. For purely local game data you can usually remove it yourself by clearing app data or uninstalling.
10. Changes
